South Dakotans can officially cast their ballots in the 2024 general election.
Early voting opened Friday, according to the Secretary of State's office.
South Dakotans can vote early by mail through an absentee ballot or in person at their local county auditor's office but must bring a photo ID.
Voters must be registered before they can cast a ballot. The voter registration deadline is Oct. 21. Details on how to register are available on the Secretary of State's website.
The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 5.
