SDPB's coverage of the 2025 South Dakota legislative session begins Tuesday, Jan. 14 with Gov. Kristi Noem's State of the State address.
The State of the State address begins at 1 p.m. Central, noon Mountain Time. SDPB broadcasts the speech live on SDPB1 TV and SDPB radio. Online, the speech is available at SDPB.org, SD.net, and SDPB's Facebook and YouTube platforms. Live Spanish-language broadcasts will also be available.
Every year, SDPB livestreams all floor sessions of both the state Senate and House of Representatives, and broadcast them on TV – the House of Representatives on SDPB2 and the Senate on SDPB3. SDPB’s livestreams also include all committee meetings from both chambers. It's part of SDPB's gavel-to-gavel coverage, a free service available to anyone interested in state government.
That coverage includes updates from SDPB News and weekly Statehouse specials from SDPB's In the Moment with Lori Walsh.
Wednesday's State of the Judiciary and State of the Tribe addresses are livestreamed at SD.net and broadcast live on SDPB2 TV.
All floor sessions from each chamber as well as all legislative committee meetings will be livestreamed at SD.net. Archives of every livestream are also available on SD.net.
2025 marks the 100th meeting of the South Dakota Legislature.
