Gov. Larry Rhoden is signing four “government accountability” bills into law.
The bills specifically modify the authority of the Board of Internal Controls and State Auditor, establish mandatory reporting requirements for improper government conduct and create whistleblower protections for state employees.
Attorney General Marty Jackley proposed the four bills.
“This is about protecting both taxpayer money and those State employees who have the courage to report criminal behavior," Jackley said.
