South Dakota Democrats are hosting town hall discussions around the state to discuss federal government cuts made by the Department of Government Efficiency and President Donald Trump.
Nikki Gronli is helping lead the initiative. She said they want everybody who wants their voices heard to attend the discussions, regardless of political affiliation.
“I welcome everybody to this. They will find us there with an open heart, and open minds ready to listen,” Gronli. “And also, looking for opportunities. If there are resources we can provide them, we’re going to do that."
The town halls are being held all across the state in the next two weeks.
That includes in:
- Rapid City April 14 at the Dahl Arts Center.
- Sioux Falls April 15 at Augustana University.
- Vermillion April 24 at USD.
- Aberdeen April 28 at the K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library.
Organizers say more dates and locations may be added and they will compile information from all meetings to present to South Dakota’s congressional delegation.
