South Dakota FOCUS: Special Flood Coverage
SDPB1 and SDPB.org: Thursday, Sept. 26, 8pm (7 MT)
As communities across South Dakota come to grips with the latest damage caused by severe flooding, SDPB’s South Dakota FOCUS broadcasts special flood coverage Thursday, Sept. 26, at 8pm (7 MT) on SDP1 and SDPB.org.
The special episode of FOCUS will provide flood coverage from throughout the state, including an aerial tour of southeastern South Dakota to survey widespread flooding of the Missouri and Big Sioux rivers and damage to the state’s highways and communities. We’ll ride a school bus in Eagle Butte, where roads have not been repaired since last spring’s flooding. We’ll see how community members come together to save the historic stone Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Menno, and we’ll talk with state scientists and ag officials about the fall outlook.
Guests include:

- Mike Gillispie, Hydrologist, Sioux Falls Nat'l Weather Service
