For several years, Dr. Emilia Boeschen, assistant professor of psychology at Black Hills State University, has been leading the way in the study of performance anxiety in athletes with intellectual disabilities. Later this week, Boeschen, along with a team of BHSU students and graduates, are heading to PyeongChang, South Korea, to take their research to the next level at the Special Olympics World Games where they will spend two weeks with athletes from all over the world. Boeschen was joined on Dakota Midday by BHSU psychology major Lauren Lund of Hot Springs, SD.
