Dr. Emilia Boeschen, assistant professor of psychology at Black Hills State University, recently led a research team of 10 students to South Korea where they attended the Special Olympics World Games. The trip was an extension of research started by Boeschen during her doctoral work at the University of North Dakota where she was studying performance anxiety in athletes with intellectual disabilities. BHSU psychology major Lauren Lund said the team is now analyzing all their data compiled at the World Games where over 110 countries were represented.
