The Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) hosts Neutrino Day in Lead July 13.
The event is a free, city-wide science festival that features tours, activities, performances, and more.
Some new additions this year include:
- Tours of SURF’s ethnobotanical garden, Čhaŋgléška Wakȟáŋ
- Mr. Freeze’s Cryogenic show, which explores fascinating properties of liquid nitrogen
- Ian Her Many Horses’ talk on the power of computer science for kids
- Airplane and rocket building
- Cookie decorating
- Hand-tinting photographs
And SDPB is again getting in on the learning this year. We'll have a special broadcast of In the Moment Friday live from SURF's facility in Lead.
