Checking in on the health of South Dakota's cattle herds

On Aug. 7, South Dakota reported its first confirmed case of anthrax in 2024. The case was found in a beef cattle herd in Meade County.

Beth Thompson, South Dakota's state veterinarian, joins "In the Moment" with an update. She shares how a quick response and proactive vaccinations stopped the outbreak at one case.

We also get an update on avian flu cases in South Dakota cattle.
