How to watch 2024 SDHSAA All-State Chorus and Orchestra concert

The 2024 SDHSAA All-State Chorus and Orchestra concert will take place from the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls on Saturday, November 2nd.

This is the 72nd annual all-state chorus and orchestra concert in South Dakota, and the concert will begin at 7 pm CT.

The guest conductors this year are Michael Hanawalt for the chorus and Luis Viquez for the orchestra. Hanawalt is currently an associate professor from Florida State University, where he does choral conducting and music education. Viquez is currently a professor at the University of Rhode Island in orchestral conducting and orchestral studies.

This year’s all-state chorus and orchestra concert will air live on SDPB1-TV and stream live online at sdpb.org/chorusandorchestra and on sd.net. Due to music copyrights, this event will NOT stream live on YouTube.

An on-demand version of the concert will be available to stream online at sdpb.org/chorusandorchestra on Sunday, November 3rd. It will also re-air on SDPB1-TV on Thanksgiving Day at 1 pm CT.

Nate Wek is currently the sports content producer and sports and rec beat reporter for South Dakota Public Broadcasting. He is a graduate of South Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism Broadcasting and a minor in Leadership. From 2010-2013 Nate was the Director of Gameday Media for the Sioux Falls Storm (Indoor Football League) football team. He also spent 2012 and 2013 as the News and Sports Director of KSDJ Radio in Brookings, SD. Nate, his wife Sarah, and three sons, Braxan, Jordy, and Anders live in Canton, SD.
