Images of the Past: The 1912 SD State Fair

29m 14s

A film shot at the 1912 South Dakota State Fair is one of the earliest known motion pictures shot in the state. This program presents that restored film in it's entirety. Comments from a South Dakota State Historical Society Archivist, a long time Huron, SD resident, and the current South Dakota State Fair manager follow the film. Scenes from the 2012 Fair compare to scenes shot a century before.
