The South Dakota High School Activities Association is holding a special meeting Wednesday afternoon to discuss the future of the Highmore-Harrold football program.

According to the Gidal Kaiser with the Capital Journal in Pierre, SD, Highmore-Harrold approved a co-op proposal for both Miller or Stanley County during a school board meeting on Monday evening. Both Miller and Stanley County have also approved the co-op opportunity. The question now is, which one will be granted the co-op?

The SDHSAA must approve either of the co-op requests to move forward with the process. An approval by the association would ensure the survival of the Highmore-Harrold football program for the next two seasons.

Wednesday’s High School Activities Association meeting will take place at 3 pm CT.
