The 112th running of the SDHSAA State Track & Field Championship Meet will take place Friday and Saturday in the Sioux Falls metro area. Friday’s action will take place across three sites with the ‘AA’ in Brandon Valley, ‘A’ in Tea and ‘B’ in Sioux Falls.

All three classes will join together for Saturday’s finals action in Sioux Falls at Howard Wood Field. This year marks the first SDHSAA State Finals Event ever hosted by the Tea Area School District.

All six defending team champions will return squads to this year’s event, including two schools who captured titles on both the Boys’ and Girls’ side in 2016:

St. Thomas More (Class A) and Sioux Falls Lincoln (Class AA). The Ipswich Tiger girls will return to the state meet seeking their sixth-straight Class B Girls’ title, and the Bison Cardinals are defending their school’s first-ever State Championship in any SDHSAA-sanctioned activity on the Class B Boys’ side.
