The Deubrook Area Lady Dolphins wore special t-shirts and socks at the state volleyball tournament on Friday to honor a former school superintendent in his fight against cancer.

Kevin Keenaghan spent over a decade as the superintendent for the Deubrook Area School District, before retiring just this August. He was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and is currently fighting it.

The Deubrook Area volleyball team had t-shirts made with a K on the front, in the form of the Superman logo. On the back it reads, “Life’s storms prove the strength of our anchor – Team K.”

Additionally, the team wore purple socks, which supports the awareness of pancreatic cancer.
