On Saturday, Augustana University defeated Columbus State 3-2 to win the DII National Championship in Cary, North Carolina.
Vikings senior pitcher Jacob Blank recorded a complete game with a total of 12 strikeouts – which included the final out of the game.

Facing a 2-2 game in the 6th inning, Augustana grabbed the go ahead score. JT Mix hit an RBI single with one-out, scoring Lucas Wylie.
This is the first Division II Baseball title for Augustana University.

The Vikings defeated Southern New Hampshire (twice), Florida Southern, and Columbus State at the DII College World Series this year – a perfect 4-0 record at the event.
