Parker Volleyball Coach Jill Christensen Retiring

Head coach Jill Christensen

On Monday, South Dakota coaching legend Jill Christensen of Parker officially announced her retirement. The announcement came first from New Era Sports out of Parker, SD.

Christensen is the all-time winningest coach in South Dakota history with 837 total victories. In 2017, Christensen surpassed the 800 wins mark.

Monday’s retirement announcement closes the door on an epic 36-year career with Parker high school. Along with her record-holding wins total, Christensen has 14 state tournament appearances and a state championship (Parker/Marion) in 1990 for her career as well.

In 2016, SDPB had the chance to catch up with Christensen during the Class B State Volleyball Tournament in Huron.
