Dakota Wesleyan track and field star Kamberlyn Lamer is transferring to the University of South Dakota for her final season of outdoor eligibility. This news came on Thursday morning via the University of South Dakota athletic department.

Lamer made headlines a few months back when she won a national title in the heptathlon event at the NAIA National Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Golf Shores, Alabama.

Initially, Lamer was prohibited from competing because of a registration error for the event, but after a few appeals by DWU, she was granted eligibility.

Lamer will join one of the more decorated Track and Field programs in the country at the University of South Dakota.

The Colton, SD native joins the Coyotes as a grad transfer. Because of a redshirt during the 2018 outdoor season, Lamer has one year left of outdoor eligibility.
