Miller's Linda DeBoer Records 600th Career Win

Miller head coach, Linda DeBoer

Miller head volleyball coach Linda DeBoer is currently the winningest active high school volleyball coach in South Dakota. On Thursday night, she achieved another milestone as she recorded her 600th career win with a 3-0 victory in Winner.

Coach DeBoer says she’s been blessed to work with such wonderful players over the years in Miller.

"You know, it’s been amazing. First of all, the longevity I’ve had in Miller and all of the awesome teams I’ve had in Miller over the years, I think this is just a culmination and tribute to all of that," said DeBoer. "I’ve been with this program since its beginning with being an assistant coach for two years and then being the head coach for a lot of years. It’s just a great feeling to now be in the record books with such great coaches in our state, I feel honored."

DeBoer is entering her 27th season as head coach of the Miller Rustlers.

Last season, Miller advanced to the state championship match, but fell short to Sioux Falls Christian. Coach DeBoer says even though her 600th win wasn’t for a state title, it’s a great way to start off the 2019 campaign.
