How To Watch the state football championships

The 2021 South Dakota high school football championships are set to take place at the Dakota Dome in Vermillion this week from Thursday November 11th through Saturday November 13th. 

This year’s event will consist of all three nine-man classes on day one, three of the 11-man classes on day two, and then Class 11AAA being the lone title showdown on the evening of day three.

Thursday November 11

Class 9B – No. 3 Potter County vs No. 5 Dell Rapids St. Mary – 10 am CT

Class 9A – No. 1 Herreid/Selby Area vs No. 2 Howard – 1 pm CT

Class 9AA – No. 9 Platte-Geddes vs No. 11 Canistota/Freeman – 7:30 pm CT

Friday November 12

Class 11B – No. 1 Winner vs No. 7 Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan – 10 am CT

Class 11A – No. 1 Madison vs No. 7 Milbank – 2 pm CT

Class 11AA – No. 1 Tea Area vs No. 3 Pierre – 7:30 pm CT

Saturday

Class 11AAA – No. 1 Harrisburg vs No. 2 Brandon Valley – 7:30 pm CT

All seven state championship games will air live on SDPB1-TV. They will also stream live online for free at sdpb.org/football. This year is the 40th anniversary of the high school state football championships in South Dakota.
