Reiff grew up in Parkston, South Dakota. He was an all-state defensive end and tight end in high school for the Trojans. Reiff was a multi-sport athlete, who along with being an elite football player, was a three-time state wrestling champion as well – twice in the 215 lb weight class, and one title as a heavyweight.
After high school, Reiff moved on to the University of Iowa to play college football. During his senior season as an offensive tackle for the Hawkeyes, Reiff earned first-team Big Ten and All-American honors.
The Detroit Lions selected Reiff with the No. 23 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. He spent five season with the Lions, and then signed with the Minnesota Vikings as a free agent in 2017. Reiff was released by the Vikings after the 2020 season, and then was signed by the Cincinnati Bengals where he started at right tackle for most of the season, before injury, in 2021.
2022 will mark Reiff’s 11th season in the NFL, and it’ll be his third stint with an NFC North team.
