A major national fishing tournament is happening in South Dakota.
The National Walleye Tour event is Thursday and Friday at Lake Francis Case near Pickstown. It’s the town’s first time hosting the event.
South Dakota native Duane Hjelm is currently in third place in the Progressive Angler of the Year race, according to the organization.
Over a hundred professional anglers are signed up to fish at this event. They are competing for a $15,000 cash prize.
The full field will fish each day, with the winner being determined by cumulative weight.
