How to watch 2024 SDHSAA state cheer and dance competition

The 2024 SDHSAA state cheer and dance competition will take place from Summit Arena in Rapid City on Friday October 25th and Saturday October 26th. Class A will run their routines on Friday with Class AA slated for action on Saturday.

Both days of the event will air live on SDPB2-TV and stream live online at SD.net and sdpb.org/cheerdance. Due to copyright policies with music rights at this event, we’re unable to stream the state cheer and dance competition on YouTube.

SDPB will also create an On-Demand version of this event, following the conclusion of each day.

Friday’s action begins at 5 pm MT, while Saturday will begin at 11 am MT.

Nate Wek is currently the sports content producer and sports and rec beat reporter for South Dakota Public Broadcasting. He is a graduate of South Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism Broadcasting and a minor in Leadership. From 2010-2013 Nate was the Director of Gameday Media for the Sioux Falls Storm (Indoor Football League) football team. He also spent 2012 and 2013 as the News and Sports Director of KSDJ Radio in Brookings, SD. Nate, his wife Sarah, and three sons, Braxan, Jordy, and Anders live in Canton, SD.
