South Dakota State University’s head football coach Jimmy Rogers is leaving to be the head coach of Washington State.
ESPN said he signed a five-year deal worth over $1.5 million per year.
Rogers coached SDSU to its second FCS national title during the 2023-2024 season.
ESPN reported Rogers will bring most of his current SDSU coaching staff to Washington State with him.
After the announcement some SDSU players have entered the NCAA transfer portal – including standout wide receiver Griffin Wilde and quarterback Mark Granowski.
