South Dakota State University is naming Dan Jackson as the football team’s new head coach.
This comes after previous head coach, Jimmy Rogers, accepted a position at Washington State University.
Jackson played for the Jackrabbits from 2003-2005. He also coached SDSU as a Graduate Assistant from 2012 until 2014.
He had previous coaching stints at Northern Illinois University, Vanderbilt University and the University of Idaho.
Jackson was the defensive coordinator at the University of Idaho this past season.
As SDSU’s 22nd head coach - he now looks to continue SDSU’s streak of advancing to 13 consecutive FCS playoff appearances.
