A donation from the Parks Foundation is expanding the Sioux Falls multi-use recreation trail.

The $1.3 million gift is going to connect the trail to Lien Park to Bahnson Avenue. That’s about a one-mile expansion.

Director of parks and recreation for the city Don Kearney said the expansion allows the department to get closer to the Sioux Falls Bicycle Master Plan – a plan to accommodate all modes of transportation.
