The 2025 SDHSAA state girls basketball tournaments continued on Friday, March 14, with the consolation semifinals and championship semifinal rounds.
Here are all the results from Friday and the schedule for Saturday.
Class B
Consolation Semifinals
Parkston 56 Deubrook Area 52
Parkston defeated Deubrook Area in the consolation semifinals 56-52. The Trojans were led by Keeara Oakley, who scored 17-points. Berkley Ziebart also contributed with 16-points, six rebounds, and five steals. The Dolphins leading scorer was Mataya Gouws, who finished with 23-points in the loss.
Lyman 57 Harding County 48
Lyman defeated Harding County 57-48 in the consolation semifinals. Bree Smart shot 60% from the floor and scored 15-points to lead the Raiders in the win. Mak Scott had a double-double for Lyman as well, 13-points and ten rebounds. Harding County was led by Kamry Padden, who tallied 15-points in the loss.
Championship Semifinals
Bennett County 44 Centerville 41
Bennett County took down the defending champions Centerville, 44-41, in the semifinal round to punch their ticket to the state title game. The Warriors were led by the O’Neill sisters, who each got a double-double. Peyson O’Neill scored 17 points and grabbed ten rebounds while Reagan O’Neill scored ten points and pulled in 12 rebounds. Centerville’s top scorer was Emma Marshall, who finished with 15-points, twelve rebounds, and six steals.
Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 45 St. Mary 43
Sanborn Central/Woonsocket edged out St. Mary 45-43 in the semifinal round. The Cardinals had a chance with 3.5 seconds left, but they turned it over on the inbound pass to seal the win for the Blackhawks. Sanborn Central/Woonsocket was led by Liz Boschee, who scored 14-points and had ten rebounds. For St. Mary, Jenna Miller led the scoring with 16 points.

Consolation Semifinals
Mobridge-Pollock 50 Mt. Vernon/Plankinton 40
Mobridge-Pollock advances to the consolation championship with a Friday victory over Mt. Vernon/Plankinton 50-40. Blake Thompson led the Tigers with a double-double performance – 18 points and 12 rebounds. The Titans were led by Reagan Rus, who also notched a double-double performance. She scored 15-points, snagged ten boards, and recorded four steals.
Sioux Valley 56 Wagner 46
Sioux Valley defeated Wagner 56-46 in the consolation semifinals. The Cossacks were led by Keyra Kruse who finished with 18-points and 12 rebounds. Ashlyn Koupal shot 50% from the floor in the loss for Wagner, and she scored 24-points.
Championship Semifinals
Sioux Falls Christian 44 Hamlin 33
Sioux Falls Christian defeated Hamlin 44-33 in the semifinal round to advance to their first ever girls state basketball championship game. Emory Lems led the Chargers with eight points. Mya VanDonge led Sioux Falls Christian in the rebound category with ten. Paxton Neuendorf and Addison Neuendorf each scored seven points for Hamlin in the loss.
Mahpíya Lúta 72 Dakota Valley 66
Mahpíya Lúta defeated Dakota Valley 72-66 in the semifinal round on Friday night in Spearfish. Jodene Big Crow-Hunter scored 25 points for Mahpíya Lúta, while Ashlan Carlow-Blount contributed 23 points offensively as well. For Dakota Valley, Aubree Worden led the scoring with 23 points.

Consolation Semifinals
Spearfish 61 Sioux Falls Jefferson 54
Spearfish defeated Sioux Falls Jefferson 61-54 in the consolation semifinals. For the Spartans, 21-points came from the free throw line in the contest. Spearfish was led by Mya Kochuten, who scored 26-points in the winning effort. For the Cavaliers, Abby Horner tallied 24-points with a 79% field goal percentage.
Mitchell 48 Pierre TF Riggs 38
Mitchell topped Pierre TF Riggs 48-38 in the consolation semifinals. The Kernels were +13 in the rebound battle and shot 41% from the field in the contest. Addie Siemsen led Mitchell with 17-points. Londyn Hajek also contributed 14-points for the Kernels. Emery Larson led the Governors in scoring with 12-points. Gracely Taylor also scored 11-points for Pierre.
Championship Semifinals
O’Gorman 58 Rapid City Stevens 31
O’Gorman rolled past Rapid City Stevens 58-31 on Friday night in the semifinal round. Julia Eggert led the Knights in scoring with 21-points on 50% shooting. She also snagged seven rebounds and had four steals as well. For Stevens, Taaliya Porter led the team with 14 points and eight boards.
Brandon Valley 72 Sioux Falls Washington 56
Brandon Valley defeated Sioux Falls Washington 72-56 in the semifinals on Friday night. Alyvia Padgett led the Lynx with 30-points, seven rebounds, and seven steals. The Warriors were led offensively by Grace Peterson who finished the game with 16 points.
