While it’s not rare to see siblings playing high school sports together in South Dakota, Castlewood brings it to a new level. The Warriors have an impressive six sets of sisters on this year’s squad.

Castlewood voters have advanced a $6 million bond past the 60 percent needed to pass.

In 2022, the community of Castlewood was battered by a tornado, with the local school bearing the brunt of the damage. This week – that same school was named a National Blue Ribbon school.

Castlewood is celebrating a state softball title this week as the Warriors topped Alcester-Hudson in the ‘B’ title game on Saturday night in Aberdeen. For Castlewood, it was ultimately a clutch at bat by Lyndsey Archer that put the Warriors up late in the contest.

Angela Keszler split her time between the Class B tournament watching her son Jamison play for Castlewood and her other son Brennan play at the Class A tournament for Hamlin.
