  • For many South Dakota towns, high school sports are more than just an activity. They're a symbol that represents community pride, hard work, and the ability to overcome challenges.Girls Got Game, a documentary that highlights the evolution of girls high school sports in South Dakota since Title IX, airs this week on SDPB.
  • Lolly Forseth recorded 11 state titles as a gymnastics coach for both Sioux Falls Lincoln and Sioux Falls Washington. She was also the first full-time female athletic director in South Dakota history.

  • From 1974 to 2008, Ruth Rehn was an assistant executive director for the South Dakota High School Activities Association. She's one of the main people who helped get a majority of the girls high school sports sanctioned in the Rushmore State after Title IX passed 50 years ago.
