Volunteer firefighters rescued a driver in northeast South Dakota after their car got stuck in a flooded roadway.
It happened Wednesday on a rural road a few miles north of Milbank, according to the Grant County Emergency Management office.
Photos from the scene show water was up to the hood of the car by the time firefighters from Milbank and Big Stone City arrived.
Crews were able to get the single occupant out safely using a small inflatable boat.
Authorities are reminding drivers to not attempt to drive through flooded roadways.
